BioJim Hawking is a highly skilled, highly sought-after (by the police, anyway) computer hacker. Besides cooking/balancing the books, it’s what Jim is best at doing. All things mechanical are like plants to a botanist for him; he can tame them, control them, and make them grow into something amazing – if he has the time. In his line of work, he usually has to settle for just getting the damned things to work right.
Jim is the son of the legendary “Computer Wizard,” the universe’s most skilled hacker, but beyond that fact and his own not insignificant skill, little is known about his past before meeting Gene Starwind.
Oh well, it’s probably not a matter of great importance anyway.
